The owners wanted to keep the ‘feel’ of the existing Queenslander cottage on the site in Aeroglen, however, the existing house didn’t meet their needs in terms of the space required and the organisation of those spaces.

The proposed design is in keeping with the scale of the existing dwelling while having the modern features of stackable doors and a new fit-out to the kitchen, ensuite and laundry.

The design is orientated so external living spaces can be used in heavy rain periods and also capture breezes, predominantly from the South East.
